Sandarinimo medžiagos pasirinkimas, sandarinimo proceso kontrolė ir porcelianinių dalių paviršiaus valymas turi didelę įtaką kondensatoriaus savybėms. Todėl būtina pasirinkti gerą atsparumą drėgmei, o porcelianinio korpuso paviršių glaudžiai derinti su dideliu sandarinimo medžiagos elektriniu atsparumu. Šiuo metu daugiausiai pasirenkama epoksidinė derva, keliems gaminiams sandarinti taip pat pasirenkama fenolinė derva. Taip pat pirmiausia imamasi izoliacinės dažų dangos, o po to fenolinės dervos hermetizacijos metodo, kuris turi tam tikrą reikšmę sąnaudoms sumažinti. Daugumoje didelio masto gamybos linijų naudojama miltelinio hermetizavimo technologija.
