With the development of electronic technology, the requirement of working voltage for putting in more electronic circuits is getting lower and lower, from the original 5V to the current 3V and some lower 15V, on the other hand, the miniaturization of power supply needs small and large capacity products to replace the large volume of aluminum electrolytic capacitors. In order to meet the development and application of such low-voltage and large-capacity MLCCs, the amperometric capacitor manufacturers have developed relaxation-type high dielectric materials with relative dielectric constants 1 to 2 times higher than BaTiO3 in terms of materials.
In the process of developing new products, three key technologies have been developed at the same time, namely, making ultra-thin raw chip powder dispersion technology, improving raw chip film formation technology and matching the shrinkage rate of inner electrode and ceramic raw chip. Recently, Matsushita Electronic Components of Japan has successfully developed a high-capacity MLCC with a maximum capacity of 100 μF and a high withstand voltage of 25 V. This product can be used in the power supply circuit of liquid crystal displays (LCDs).
