Another class of multilayer ceramic capacitors is COG class, whose capacity is mostly below 1000PF, and the primary function target of these capacitors is the loss angle tangent value. The traditional COG products with noble metal electrodes have a DF value of (2.0-8.0) X 10-4, while the COG products with innovative base metal electrodes have a DF value of (1.0-2.5) X 10-4, which is about 31-50% of the former. This type of product is more prominent in the low-power characteristics of GSM, CDMA, cordless phone, Bluetooth, GPS system containing T/R module circuit.
